Terms of Service

Last updated: March 16, 2026

1. Scope

These terms of service apply to services provided by Web1 Oy (Business ID 2988533-2, hereinafter "Web1"), including web hosting, datacenter, cloud, domain and other IT infrastructure services.

By ordering or using Web1's services, the customer accepts these terms of service.

2. Formation of service agreement

The agreement is formed when the customer orders a service through Web1's website, email or another channel and Web1 confirms the order. Web1 reserves the right to refuse orders.

3. Service content

The detailed content, technical specifications and pricing of services are defined in the product description for each service. Web1 aims to provide services as agreed but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

4. Prices and payment

  • Prices are according to the current price list and include VAT (25.5%) unless otherwise stated
  • Billing period is typically 1, 3, 6 or 12 months
  • Payment terms are 14 days from the invoice date
  • Late payments incur interest in accordance with the Interest Act
  • Web1 reserves the right to change prices with at least 30 days' notice to the customer

5. Customer obligations

The customer agrees to:

  • Use services in compliance with applicable laws and these terms
  • Comply with the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
  • Keep contact information up to date
  • Maintain the security of their own credentials
  • Be responsible for the content and use of their services

6. Web1's obligations

Web1 commits to:

  • Providing services professionally and with due care
  • Notifying customers of planned maintenance in advance
  • Protecting customer data appropriately
  • Providing technical support for service-related matters

7. Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Web1 targets 99.9% service availability. Planned maintenance does not reduce availability. If availability falls below the promised level, the customer may request compensation on a case-by-case basis.

8. Limitation of liability

Web1's liability is limited to the service fees paid by the customer for the relevant billing period. Web1 is not liable for indirect damages, such as lost revenue or data loss.

The customer is responsible for backing up their own data unless a backup service has been separately ordered.

9. Contract duration and termination

  • The agreement is valid for one billing period at a time and renews automatically unless terminated
  • The notice period for termination is 30 days before the end of the billing period
  • Web1 may terminate the agreement immediately if the customer materially breaches these terms
  • Upon termination, customer data is retained for 30 days after which it is deleted

10. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delays or damages caused by force majeure, such as natural disasters, wars, strikes, regulatory orders or major telecommunications failures.

11. Amendments to terms

Web1 reserves the right to amend these terms. Customers will be notified of changes at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will be resolved through negotiation where possible. If no settlement is reached, the matter will be resolved in the District Court of Southwest Finland.
